Card Catalog ("the App") is developed and published by Martin Creative Studios ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.
Card Catalog does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. Your library data is stored exclusively on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, in your personal iCloud account. We have no access to your data.
All library data you create in Card Catalog — titles, authors, ratings, notes, and any other fields — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you have iCloud Drive and iCloud sync enabled on your device, this data is also stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit service. This sync is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
The App requests access to your device's camera solely for the purpose of scanning barcodes (ISBN, UPC, and EAN codes) to look up media metadata. No images or video are stored, transmitted, or retained by the App. Camera access is optional — you can add items manually without using the camera.
When you scan a barcode or search for an item, the App queries publicly available metadata services (such as Open Library, Google Books, MusicBrainz, and iTunes Search) to retrieve information about that item. These queries include the barcode or search term you entered but do not include any personal information. These services are governed by their own privacy policies.
Card Catalog is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
